Never one to knowingly hit the streets out of style, Eva Mendes proved yet again on Monday night why she’s one of Hollywood’s most fashionable women.
The actress was seen leaving her hotel in New York wearing a double layered black midi dress and belt while adding a touch of color with a pair of blue D'orsay Kurt Geiger stilettos with a metal heel.
With her caramel hue hair tied up into a chic ponytail, Eva, 39, certainly put the sex in New York City.
The LA resident was on the East Coast to attend the preview of Charlotte Ronson’s new collection of Vogue Eyewear.
As a brand ambassador and cover girl for Vogue, her presence was most essential as she chatted to the Charlotte – sister of DJ and producer Mark Ronson – about the first series of CFDA designers.
Eva herself has transitioned from just being faced for the like of Calvin Klein and Revlon, to become a designer in her own right as she has just designed a clothing line for New York & Company.
Speaking to NBC Latino, Mendes said: ‘I love the idea of making great quality clothes for an affordable price.
‘It’s not about fashion on a runway, it’s about fashion on the run! The proof is in the product, which I am so proud of.’
Discussing her own style choices, Eva said: ‘First, you must feel great before you walk out of the house. If you don’t feel good when you’re trying on an outfit at home, it’s not going to miraculously feel great once you are out in the world.
‘Also, find the cuts and silhouettes that accentuate what you love about your body. To keep from being bored, play with color and mixing and matching patterns.’
