She’s been battling with her weight since giving birth to her little girl Dolly 15 months ago but it looks like Chantelle Houghton is starting to embrace her curves.
The 30-year-old looked the picture of happiness while on holiday in Majorca earlier this month, showing off her size 14-16 figure in a polka dot bikini.
Laughing with friends as she splashed around in the pool the mother-of-one proudly displayed her bikini body in the Spanish sunshine.
Chantelle jetted off for a brief break this month and it looks like she made the most of some r&r.The brunette had no qualms about stripping down to her bikini, choosing a navy polka dot number.
Featuring a pretty frill detail, the two piece halter neck made the most of Chantelle’s curvy figure.
At one point the star was seen beaming from ear to ear as she splashed around in the resort’s pool, before showering off after her cooling dip.
Slipping on a sheer black cover-up, Chantelle was also spotted looking more subdued as she talked on her phone.
With her daughter Dolly nowhere to be seen perhaps the doting mum was missing her little girl, whom she gave birth to last year amid her rocky relationship with Alex Reid.
Since giving birth Chantelle has been open about her fluctuating weight and changing shape, but it sounds like she’s had enough of her critics, taking to Twitter recently to slam those making negative comments:
‘The people that are making digs about my body will understand one day when or if they have a baby. #Proudofmymummybody,’ she wrote.
According to friends of Chantelles, it has been the bitter legal battle with her ex fiancé Alex over custody of Dolly and her recent split from boyfriend Nick Hogg that has caused her to gain weight through stress eating.
Pals of the mother-of-one insist that she looks far from unhappy with her though.
A source told Closer magazine this month: 'Chantelle is now a size 14 to 16, but insists that although she's having a hard time right now, she's not unhappy with what she sees in the mirror.
'She doesn't weigh herself any more - she can't be bothered to stress over it. She says she's proud of her body because it gave her a beautiful daughter.'
However, while Chantelle ensures that little Dolly always has nutritious meals, the same can't be said to herself, with the former Big Brother star sometimes eating two takeaways per day because she doesn't have time to cook.
The source added: 'Chantelle is a full-time single mother and says finding the time to make healthy, balanced meals for herself is really difficult, especially as she's a vegetarian.
